Friends ?

Thanks , to all our social networking sites and chat groups

and messengers , i have been changing my definitions of

"friends" for quite some time now. Though , the

"through-thick-and-thin" definition remains unaltered ..yet

my growing number of friends "online" made me ponder !!

During my schooling years , i had made a pen friend ,a twenty

four year old .. who me and my parents later met up ...and

really had lots of fun with. Might sound really strange ,that

is a eleven year old , and a twenty plus guy talking about

each other. A really sweet person ..who'd talk to me , like i

was his little sister .It felt so nice to talk to somebody

who'd not have prejudices about you. Its been years now ,

since i've spoken or written to that guy , but i'll somehow

always remember him as a close friend ..

Its since then , that I've not at all been hesitant in making

friends through such mediums ..Many of my friends used to be

like ..how can you talk to people who you dont know , how do

you not know they're not lying ?

What about people you get to meet in real life ..how do you

decide ..whether the faces they put on are real or not ?

Whether its through the internet , mail or phone or even in

real life ..i feel..if your not genuine ..you'll fall

through someday !
